Media Choices

  • Standard 26 lb coated paper—a very nice choice that is like very good copy paper, with a bright white matte coating optimized to give a clear and crisp inkjet output and a highly uniform unblemished appearance.
  • Heavyweight 35 lb coated paper—takes the standard coated paper up a notch with the same great appearance but with a more substantial feel. This option or semigloss is required for prints using 54" or 60" paper (charts over 42" in their smaller dimension).
  • Semigloss photo paper—an even heavier paper which provides a very rich and saturated image, and is perfect for charts with lots of pictures.
  • Archival—Superheavyweight acid-free paper for a museum quality record. Available in satin and matte surfaces.
  • Vinyl Banner—Ultra sturdy vinyl-coated PVC fabric yields a weatherproof output perfect for worry-free outdoor display of your family tree. Its super-smooth bright white matte surface does justice to the finest details in your chart. Available with grommets for hanging.
  • Matte Polypropylene—A very cool medium that is a little less robust than the vinyl banner material, but still weatherproof and fade resistant. It's indistinguishable from paper unless you touch this plastic film. Sold for same price as the vinyl banner.
  • 24 lb coated paper—A quality bond paper which is the only medium we have for narrow charts 11" and 17" wide that are also greater than 60" long. In other words, if you have a chart 105"x8", this is the paper we'll probably use.
